Love the new format, but keep the news from 100 years ago.

Yes, that’s not going anywhere.

I didn't figure you'd quit on it; you probably want to know how all of those story lines wrap up.

Chiming in as another fan of the news from 100 years ago "content." (Scare quotes because that is just such an insulting word for creative output of any kind.)

As long as we get the same or more of 1920's news!

The "not doing impressions" thing was cracking me up. I was thinking the whole time you were doing "old you" that a scratchy background and you sounding like Grampa from the Simpsons woulda killed. But seriously; well done, sir.*

As one of the 17 (is that percent or absolute count?), I thoroughly enjoyed this. Chapeau.

It was percentages— glad you’re on board!

Finding the casual and repeated calling of Khalil and other protestors "assholes" undermines your cred and is, honestly, not that funny after the first time. It's lazy. And in the case of Khalil, probably incorrect. Trump is running roughshod over the First Amendment here and while that's ultimately the argument you're making, it loses a lot of its punch with the assholery.

I like the new format, btw.

Ok this was great. As a lazy mfer I'm still mildly annoyed that I'll now have to take all of your articles and dump them into my AI reader, so I'll still very lightly shake my fist at you even though I am very much enjoying this new format.

The sound effects made me think it was time to turn the page on my book I was reading along with the record.

I like it - but the Beep Boop when you come in and out of present day is a distraction (IMO). I keep thinking something glitched on my computer - perhaps a different sound?

The best possible version of this is done by Ben Thompson of Stratechery.

When he is quoting himself (which he does often), a different voice reads the quotes. So it's easy for the listener to distinguish between "present day Ben", and "back in time Ben".

Probably too expensive or time consuming- but it's a great way to "react to your old self".

It was the "gitchie gitchie gitchie goo" that sealed the deal I think.
